Cherry Mobile announced another smartphone that might just be what you’re looking for – the dual core Cherry Mobile Pebble.
Don’t be fooled by its name, Pebble has the potential to be a best seller with its mobile TV function, 3G HSPA+ access, Android Jelly Bean OS and a 3.5-inch display with In-Plane Switching technology.
Filipinos has always been fond of following their favorite TV programs but working or studying away from home can sometimes put you in a boarding house with no TV. These folks would be very excited with the Cherry Mobile Pebble.
There are other phones with mobile TV that are already available in the market. However, only a few runs on Android. Cherry Mobile Pebble has both which means you can enjoy Android games and apps too!
It’s even very surprising that Cherry Mobile has managed to give the Pebble an IPS display. Have you watched TV on a phone and notice that the colors wash out when it is tilted? That problem is solved by In-Plane Switching technology which is ubiquitous in more expensive smartphones.
3G HSPA+ mobile internet is a good additional feature too. However, I think the target market of the Cherry Mobile Pebble will rely more on Wi-Fi networks for browsing the net.
