After over a month of using my Cherry Mobile Flare, I can finally say that it is my favorite Pinoy Android phone. Sure, there are other phones from MyPhone or Starmobile that competes with Flare, but Flare is the best.
Cherry Mobile Flare is the cheapest Android phone in the Philippines right now with 1.2 GHz processor and a 5 Megapixel autofocus camera. To top it all, it also looks beautiful with a similarity in looks to an iPhone.

Not sure if Cherry Mobile Flare is for you? Take a look at the specs of the Cherry Mobile Flare and determine if it is the best Android phone for you too.
Flare packs within its sleek body a 1.2 GHz dual core processor which makes its operation flow smoothly without lags. I haven’t experienced any lags even when playing Need for Speed or watching high definition movies.
Since it operates using Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Cherry Mobile Flare can be used as a mobile WiFi hotspot. I’ve done this several times via wireless and USB teethering.
Another thing that’s good about the Cherry Mobile Flare is its 5.0 MP camera. Yes it is not on par with the 8 MP camera of other phones but it takes good quality photos. Check out these photos taken using my Cherry Mobile Flare.

The most amazing part of having a Cherry Mobile Flare is that people will think that you have an iPhone! I’ve experienced this 3 or four times already. Someone who sees my phone asks me if it is an iPhone. That’s something to feel good about. iPhone is all about style while Cherry Mobile Flare is all about the price but with the features of the high tech phone you’ve always wanted.
What I like most with CM Flare is it’s sleek design. It is only available in black and has four physical buttons below the screen: home, options, back and search button. Above the screen, you can find the VGA camera and a proximity sensor.
It’s back is covered with a rubber like plastic which protects the battery, microSD card and the SIM cards. The first SIM slot is marked HSDPA which means it is the slot for the 3G sim.
The left corner contains the volume buttons and the micro USB port for charging, data transfer and teethering. On the right corner is small dent where you place your finger to lift the back cover.
The top corner contains the 3.5 mm audio jack and the power button.
So far, my Flare survived a 1.5 feet drop from my bed, a 2.5 feet drop from my table and being played by my 3 year old niece.
The only problem I had with Flare is it’s short battery life if you continuously use WiFi or 3G. A straight use of 3G will drain Flare’s battery in just 3 hours.
This happens because Cherry Mobile Flare has a battery of only 1500 mAh. To make a Flare last a day or two, you have to turn off WiFi and 3G when they are not in use.
I can even play music using the loud speaker for almost a day.
Cherry Mobile Flare is one of the most beautiful Android Phones in the Philippines that has high quality specs but with an affordable price.
For those who don’t have 6K for a Titan or don’t like its design and large screen, then I recommend that you go with Flare.
