Flame 2.0 Quad Core Processor’s Effect on Battery Life

Flame 2.0 is officially the first quad core smartphone with a local brand. The quad-core processor is ARM Cortex-A7 clocked at 1.2 GHz.

The quad core processor of Flame 2.0 will allow the same or better speed of operation compared to dual core phones at a lesser energy input. This means that the 1600 mAh battery of Flame 2.0 will last longer than the battery of the Flare.

Flame 2.0 is also fitted with a 1 GB RAM which will make multitasking a swift experience. Many of us open several apps at once resulting to lags in our devices. This won’t happen with the Flame 2.0’s RAM.

Flame 2.0’s 4.5 Inch QHD Screen

Looking at the screen of Flame 2.0, you will be amazed at the clarity of the text and graphics since it has 540 pixels horizontally and 960 pixels vertically – that is what QHD means.

The screen of Flame 2.0 can also accept multiple touch input which is good in playing games.

Tilting the screen won’t affect the colors of the LCD screen because it is equipped with IPS technology.

Flame 2.0’s 5 MP Camera

This has been sacrificed for the quad-core processor to bring down the cost of Flame 2.0.

Instead of an 8 Megapixel camera, Flame 2.0 has a 5 Megapixel Autofucos camera with LED flash at the back. You can also use it to take a high quality picture of yourself because its back cover is shiny – it can used as a crude mirror.

The front camera is a VGA one  but there’s more that these cameras can do. Samsung Galaxy S4 was so proud to be the first smartphone to enable picture-in-picture feature – that is, you can take a picture or video from the back and front camera  at the same time. But that’s not going to be exclusive to Galaxy S4 because Flame 2.0 can also do that!

Not So Fast Internet Speed and Other Perks

As you can expect, there are some areas where the Flame 2.0 performs poorly. One of those is the slow internet connection speed. Flare 2.0 does not have the capability to connect to a HSDPA network.

Flame 2.0 can only connect to EDGE, GPRS and UMTS 3G which is slightly slower than HSDPA. This might annoy some users but if you use Flare 2.0 within a WiFi powered mall, school or workplace, you can enjoy fast internet connection speed.

Expect Another ‘Flare’ Day

Flame 2.0’s overwhelming specs and features will surely attract tech enthusiasts and ordinary consumers alike. When Cherry mobile launched the Flare, the Flare Day happened when people started lining up for a locally branded smartphone!

Flame 2.0 will be available on April 2013 at  ₱ 6,999.00 only. Are going to be there on Flare 2.0 Day?
