Starmobile’s first phablet offering stands out from the rest. It’s as if all the best specs in a smartphone combined into one – the Starmobile Diamond V7.
A word of caution first, Diamond V7 is for people who are comfortable with big phones. If you’re like me who has ‘cute’ hands, go look for other quad core phones.
An Antutu Benchmark test of a demo unit during the launching of Diamond V7 got a score of 13,042 points. That’s considerably high given that it has a very large display.
Filipinos love taking pictures. May it be their lunch or their own beautiful face. Starmobile Diamond V7 provides the best cameras for both!
Your selfies can now look as stunning as any other photo from your phone, thanks to Diamond V7’s 8 MP front camera. If Food Photography is your hobby, Diamond V7’s 18 MP Camera will take your photos to the next level.
Both camera sensors are equipped with Backside Illumination technology for enhanced picture quality even in low light situations and are autofocus, tap and shoot.
When offered with a phablet, we always worry that the large screen will be of low quality. But that’s out of the question with Starmobile Diamond V7. It has a 720 x 1280 Pixel screen resolution with a pixel density of around 257 per inch.
The high number of pixels equates to clearer and sharper texts, images and other graphics. It also allows you to play high definition videos at their maximum resolution and see all the little details of the movie.
Diamond V7’s large screen is protected from scratches by Asahi’s Dragontrail Glass. Knives, keys and other steel objects can’t render any scratch to Starmobile Diamond V7’s screen. Don’t try to put it together with real diamonds though. Diamond can cut through Dragontrail and Gorilla glasses.
Starmobile Diamond V7 has more than enough battery capacity to power its huge screen. It is equipped with a 2600 mAh Li-ion battery with an estimated talk time of around 13 hours and standby time of 330 hours.
Hopefully, Starmobile Diamond V7 will be priced low enough for it to be truly an awesome deal. What’s the use of a great product if people can’t afford it?
Starmobile hasn’t yet released the official suggested retail price of Diamond V7. But an analysis of their previous pricing leads me to an estimated price of around ₱13,000.00.
