Cherry Mobile Flare 2X is set to disrupt the local smartphone market with its powerhouse specs but cheap price (well, sort of).
If Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0 disappointed you with its limited RAM, Flare 2X will satisfy your RAM needs use as much apps and games as you want.
It comes with a slightly customized Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with custom icons and Cherry Mobile apps. Internal storage is at 4GB with around 1.5GB available for photos and other files.
Battey for Flare 2X comes at the usual 1,500 mAh standard Lithium-ion cell. That might worry us a bit.
Flare 2X has three capacitive buttons at front and a brushed plastic back cover.
It’s 4-inch IPS display comes at 800 x 480 pixels or 233 pixels per inch. That’s the same as the original Flare that shows high quality graphics and hopefully, a wider viewing angle.
Cherry Mobile Flare 2X has a better camera too compared to the other versions of CM Flare – an 8MP camera with an LED flash. For the front, it’s the same VGA shooter for selfies.
Flare 2X also has 3G connectivity but limited to one sim only. The other sim slot can only connect to 2G networks including EDGE and GPRS for mobile internet connection.
WiFi, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth and GPS are also available as well as an FM Radio with a 3.5mm audio jack.
There’s a micro USB port but USB OTG isn’t supported.
