The launching event of Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0 came with another announcement from Cherry Mobile. They are working on three new smartphones that could be Cherry Mobile Flare 2X, Burst 2.0 and Apollo.
“Three new smartphones that truly defines our mission – to value your lifestyle”. These are the words in the presentation slide of Cherry Mobile’s Project X, Y and Z. Our guess is, these are cheap quad core phones that they will offer during the Christmas season.

Cherry Angel, a Cherry Mobile retailer posted on Facebook about Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0, Flare 2X, Burst 2.0 and Apollo. However, the post was deleted after several hours. But here’s the specs of the three units for you:
If you are an owner of the first Cherry Mobile Burst, you might have experienced the performance issues with it. I hope that it’s version 2.0 won’t have the same negative feedback.
Cherry Mobile Apollo will be one of the cheapest quad core phones that Christmas shoppers can choose from. It will have an edge over Cherry Mobile Razor with its 12MP camera compared to 8MP of Razor.
Remember that these are all rumors for now. Cherry Mobile will formally reveal and launch what project X, Y and Z are before the Christmas season. Talk about marketing strategy 🙂
Indeed, Cherry Mobile is living up to its mission which is to provide Filipinos (and Thais?) smartphones with high specs but low price. I just hope that they will also amp their after sales support.
