I prefer tablets with a home button and O+ Fab Nova 3G has nicely done that with its + home button.
The display looks good too. It’s an improvement over the previous Fab 3G with a 7 inch IPS LCD panel and higher resolution this time.
Several shots of O+ Fab Nova 3G showing its design. |
“Designed for O+ in the USA” can be read at the bottom of the back cover of O+ Fab Nova 3G. It’s definitely a marketing tactic but it works for those who care where their things come from.
O+ Fab Nova 3G feels solid and sturdy. I didn’t feel like it will break easily if it accidentally drops. However, the logo at the back seems a little large. O+ might want to reduce that a bit.
O+ Fab 3G runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on a 1GHz dual core processor. Transitions and animations are smooth that I initially thought it’s a quad core tablet.
One thing that sets it back for me is the web browsing experience. I connected it to a mobile WiFi hotspot but it loads Pinoy Techno Guide slowly. I didn’t experience that with my girlfriend’s phone so I supposed it’s the tablet.
On the positive side of web browsing with O+ Fab Nova 3G, it has two sim slots with 3G connectivity. I haven’t tried it but hopefully, this should give you a faster mobile web browsing.
The camera of O+ Fab Nova 3G amazed me. The main camera took high quality photos like the one above. It even has an LED flash for low light photography.
A 2 MP camera is found at the front but photos and videos appear grainy.
I recommend O+ Fab Nova 3G for those who like to have a nice 7 inch tablet with call and text functions. I’m not really into taking photos with tablets but I like its camera!
If you’re looking for a high quality Android tablet, give O+ Fab Nova 3G a shot and enjoy a gadget that’s Design in the USA.
