A wave of affordable Android Jelly Bean smartphones has been released by local companies lately but SKK Neo stands out at a very cheap price of ₱1,999 with considerable specs.
SKK Neo runs Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean using a 1.3GHz dual core processor, Mali-400 graphics and 256 MB of RAM on a 3.5 inch display with 3-point multi-touch capability.

SKK Neo has a faster dual core processor than its competitors – a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6572 processor. That means it also has Mali-400 as its graphics processor which, together, will give you a smooth Jelly Bean experience.
Candy Crush, Temple Run 2 and other popular games have been reported to run just fine on SKK Neo. However, its 256MB RAM will prevent you from running resource intensive games. NBA 2K13 will surely lag on SKK Neo.
If you’re worried with the battery, that’s not really a big concern even if SKK Neo has a mere 1100 mAh Li-ion battery since it only has a small screen.
SKK Neo differentiated from other cheap Jelly Bean smartphones with a physical home button instead of a capacitive one. Aside from that, it looks similar to other phones.
The screen is a 3.5 inch display with 3 point multi-touch capability and a resolution of 480×320 Pixels or 165 PPI.
The camera has been a mystery for a while with SKK describing it as a ‘high definition camera’. But now, it has been confirmed that SKK Neo has a 1.3 MP main camera and a VGA front camera.
This might turn you off but SKK Neo can only connect to 2G networks. That means slower mobile internet browsing with the fastest speed attained on EDGE and GPRS networks only.
But you can also use WiFi to browse faster. You just have to find a free WiFi zone or create your own.
It also has Bluetooth and FM Radio.
It’s worth noting that SKK Neo is a direct competitor to MyPhone Rain 2G which is priced slightly lower at ₱1,988 but with almost similar specs.
