Cherry Mobile clearly doesn’t have a shortage of affordable smartphones to offer. The latest on the list is Cherry Mobile Life 2.0.
It’s a quad core phone in line for an Android 4.4.2 Kitkat software update. It also has an 8MP camera and 3G which can be an issue to some. Moreover, it runs on a Snapdragon chip ensuring smooth transitions, apps and games.
However, Cherry Mobile Life 2.0 also has its share of disappointments. To start with, its RAM only amounts to 512MB. A Kitkat update might make this irrelevant but since it ships with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, early adopters can expect some hiccups here and there.
Another one is its 1,350mAh battery which is very, very low considering that it has a quad core processor. But you can take comfort in the fact that it can use Qualcomm’s Battery Guru which is exclusive for Snapdragon processors. It makes changes to how the chip operates depending on the current tasks to extend battery life.
The screen won’t be a big battery drainer too. It’s just a 4.0-inch display with WVGA resolution.
