Microsoft might have hit the perfect combination of portability and powerful computing with the Surface Pro 3 Windows tablet.
The new tablet can run resource demanding PC softwares like Adobe Photoshop and a full version of Microsoft Office using a combination of up to an Intel Core i7 chip and 8GB of RAM.
Microsoft even hit on Apple during the Surface Pro 3 presentation by comparing it with a MacBook Air on a weighing scale. Needless to say, the Surface Pro 3 proved to be lighter and thinner.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has a larger screen size than its predecessor. Its 12-inch Full HD Plus ClearType screen makes more room for productivity and multimedia consumption. You can even use a Surface Pen to doodle or markup Powerpoint presentations.
The integrated Kickstand and Type Cover turns the Surface Pro 3 tablet into a full fledge laptop. Power it up and you’ll be greeted by Windows 8.1 Pro.

You are given a lot of choices with which set of specs you need for the Surface Pro 3. You can choose one with the least specs of a 4th Gen. Intel iCore i3 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage up to as high as a 4th Gen. Intel iCore i7 with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage.
The higher the specs, the more expensive the Surface Pro 3 can be. The price starts at $799.00 or around ₱36,000.00. Is that price worth it? If you need a tablet with the best computing power – yes, it is!
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 ports, microSD card reader and a battery that can make it last up to 9 hours of moderate use.
Surface Pro 3 is now available for Pre-order at the Microsoft Surface website and will ship on June 6. It will be available here in the Philippines by July via online shops.
