Using the hashtag #StarmobileR, a new smartphone rolls out from Starmobile HQ with a rumbling name – Starmobile ROAR!
It has interesting features like noise cancellation, gesture controls and USB On the Go support but with a mere 512MB of RAM and apparently lacks proximity and ambient light sensors.
Starmobile Roar runs on a slightly customized Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the usual Starmobile apps like Starmobile Sync that allows you to transfer messages and contacts from another phone via Bluetooth.
In its heart, a 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek MT6572 processor roars for the Starmobile Roar with a Mali-400 MP graphics processor. However, the 512MB RAM will surely discourage the nit-picky customers.
Thankfully, the Starmobile Roar makes up in the Photography department. It has an 8MP autofocus main camera with an LED flash and a 2MP front snapper for your selfies.
Starmobile Roar has a Video Pop Out feature where you can watch a video on a small pop-out window. |
Starmobile Roar has 2 SIM slots – one for a regular size SIM and another for a micro SIM. Both SIM slots are capable of connecting to a 3G network which means you have the power to switch to another network’s 3G service if what you currently have doesn’t provide you with a fast enough mobile internet speed.
It also has all the usual connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FM Radio. You can even connect a USB flash drive or any USB device using a USB OTG cable.
Wave Control works on the Starmobile Roar’s camera, gallery, FM Radio and music apps. |
Starmobile is very proud when it comes to the special features of the Starmobile Roar. It’s noise cancelling feature is very helpful when answering calls in noisy environments while its ‘Wave Controls‘ can be very cool to show to your friends. You can even use your voice to unlock the Starmobile Roar!
Starmobile Roar has a user removable 1,750mAh battery which can make it last up to 8 hours of continuous call. You can own it for ₱4,690.00 with a free insta-case and screen protector at Starmobile outlets near you.
