It’s only a matter of time for Cherry Mobile to match any offering from other local brands. The new Cherry Mobile Pulse is now officially the cheapest octa core smartphone in the country!
Aside from its octa core processor, Cherry Mobile Pulse also boasts a 5-inch HD IPS scratch resistant screen, Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box and a 13MP main camera.
In a video posted by Cherry Mobile, the specs of the Cherry Mobile Pulse and a lesser spec’d Mini version were revealed. It runs on the usual 1.7GHz MT6592 chipset from MediaTek with a quad core Mali-450 MP graphics processor and 1GB of RAM.
The AnTuTu Benchmark score on the above photo suggests that the Cherry Mobile Pulse is a monster in terms of performance for it to hit 25,600!
One peculiar thing about the Cherry Mobile Pulse is its resemblance to the iPhone. Aside from the similar form factor, it also has a circular home button.
The Cherry Mobile Pulse also has a very competitive display with Dragontrail Glass to protect the 5-inch HD IPS panel from scratches.
In terms of photography, it has a 13MP autofocus main camera with an LED flash and a 5MP front camera. We can’t be sure if these use software interpolation but hoping that they are not.
Just like the Cherry Mobile Flare 3, Pulse has 8GB of onboard storage too. There’s also a slot for up to a 64GB microSD card and dual SIM support.
