Invitations are outApple will formally unveil the iPhone 6 on September 9, 2014 at the Flint Center for the Performing Arts in Cupertino, California. The long rumored iWatch might also take center stage.

The iPhone 6 is expected to have a 4.7-inch display with a larger 5.5-inch version to be announced later – both powered by a new A8 processor. On the other hand, the iWatch will host a lot of sensors to monitor your health.

Here’s the invitation:

Apple’s invitation for a ‘special event’.

The invitation doesn’t say much unlike the colorful invitation of the iPhone 5C last year. There’s a large Apple logo in the background that might refer to a large iPhone 6. This is something that a lot of people want – a phablet iPhone which Samsung has been a champion with its Galaxy Note series.

The leaf of the Apple logo which casts shadow has also been taken as a clue to the iWatch. It’s very interesting to see how Apple can pull off the smartwatch and make it appeal to a lot of people – something that Samsung and LG hasn’t been very successful.

Lastly, the ‘Wish we could say more…’ tagline points to a possible integration of Siri with the iWatch. If not, we’ll at least see a lot of improvements with Apple’s virtual assistant.

The event will be shown worldwide. We’ll post the livestream video here which will start at 11:00 pm on September 9 Philippine Standard Time.
