Torque recently announced what might be the cheapest smartphone with a decent front facing camera for selfies – the Torque Droidz Zap!
At an SRP of only ₱1,499, it has a 2.0 Megapixel front camera which should take good quality photos for sharing on Facebook or Instagram. Sadly, the Droidz Zap only runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread although it is enhanced by the Torque Zone app.
The Torque Droidz Zap also has another 2MP camera on the back with an LED flash. It’s one of the most affordable smartphones with dual cameras.
It runs on a 1GHz single core processor with 128MB of RAM and 256MB of onboard storage. It supports up to 8GB microSD cards for additional storage space for your photos and music files.
Its screen measures at 3.5 inches diagonally with a resolution of 480 × 320 pixels or 165 ppi. That’s already a good deal for this price range!

Torque Droidz Zap has GPRS and EDGE data connectivity. You can also enjoy browsing the internet or use social media apps while connected to a Wi-Fi network.
It has a 1,400mAh Li-ion battery which should be enough for a whole day of use given the small screen.
Torque Droidz Zap is now available in different Torque outlets with a suggested retail price of ₱1,499 only! It is available in Fun Blue, Spice Pink, Choco Brown, Classy Black, and Neat White.
