In addition to the octa core SKK Platinum Advance, SKK Mobile also announced a new quad core smartphone with a 5.5-inch display – the SKK Platinum Lite.
It has 1GB of RAM, 8MP main camera, 5MP front camera, Miracast wireless display and supports USB OTG. The SKK Platinum Lite has an SRP of ₱5,999 and will be available in the fourth quarter of 2014.
If you think the SKK Platinum Lite is too good to be true, think again. Its huge display has a qHD resolution only – that’s 540 x 960 pixels resulting into a pixel density of just 200 ppi. Hopefully, the 8MP camera performs as it is meant to be as well as the 5MP front snapper.
It runs on an almost untouched Android 4.4 Kitkat using a 1.3GHz quad core Mediatek MT6582 processor with a Mali-400 MP graphics processor and 1GB of RAM.
There’s 8GB of onboard storage and a microSD slot for memory cards of up to 64GB capacity. The SKK Platinum Lite even supports USB OTG and Miracast!
A 2,800mAh battery powers the show and 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and FM Radio are all present.
