CloudFone Excite 501o: Octa Core Smartphone for ₱4,999 in the Philippines

Meet the first octa core smartphone from the local brands to make it below the 5k price point – the CloudFone Excite 501o!

It’s a 5-inch smartphone powered by a MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4 Kitkat. It also has an 8MP camera at the back and another 5MP on the front.

What’s the catch? Well, there’s the qHD screen resolution for one. That means its display won’t be as sharp as other HD panels but that’s a reasonable compromise.

It runs on the MediaTek MT6592 chipset with a Mali-450 MP4 graphics processor so it should give you a smooth performance.
