Meet Cherry Mobile’s answer to the Starmobile Knight X – the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus with a 2GHz octa core processor, 3GB of RAM and dual 4G LTE connectivity.
Initially, Cherry Mobile teased the Cosmos One Plus with the code “64.8C.4G” but the 64 refers to the 64GB microSD card slot capacity of the device rather than a 64-bit processor.
Despite not having a 64-bit processor, the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus is still a formidable smartphone in terms of performance. Its MediaTek MT6595M chipset can rack up to 47,000 points in AnTuTu Benchmark.
The 3GB RAM and PowerVR 6200 (Rogue) graphics processor promise very smooth multitasking and hard core gaming experience on a 5.5-inch full HD display.
Then there’s the dual 4G LTE connectivity that will let you take advantage of the two major telcos’ LTE networks (given that you’re in an area with LTE coverage).
At the back of the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus is a 14MP camera that uses a Sony IMX 214 sensor with a Sapphire lens. This is paired with an 8MP snapper at the front.
There’s 32GB of onboard storage and a 2,700mAh Lithium Polymer battery which should be sufficient for this smartphone. A 3k mAh or more battery would have been better though.
As an added bonus, the Cherry Mobile Cosmos One Plus is also upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.
