Cherry Mobile has another affordable octa core smartphone on offer – the Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure. This should not be confused with the larger Infinix Pure XL smartphone.
It’s also worth noting the advantages of the Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure over the cheapest octa core smartphone – the Cherry Mobile Me Vibe. The first one has an HD display and larger 2,100mAh battery.
If you crave for a High Definition screen and more battery life, the Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure is the better option. However, it has a lesser 8MP camera although it uses a BSI image sensor.
Just like the Me Vibe, the Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure also runs on the 1.4GHz octa core processor from Mediatek with 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4 Kitkat as the operating system.
It has a 2MP front camera, 3G connectivity with dual SIM support, 8GB of onboard storage and the usual wireless connectivity features.

The box of the Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure lists USB OTG support as one of its features. However, this isn’t the case when Cherry Angel tested a unit. We’ll update this post once this is cleared up.
It also boasts loudspeakers created by Yamaha so the sound quality should be above average.
Once you pop out the back cover of the device, the SIM and microSD card slots will be exposed but the battery can’t be removed.
