Cherry Mobile showed off two smartphones during the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. One is the Alpha Neon and the other is the larger Alpha View.
The latter features a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 Pixels or a pixel density of 245 ppi. This gives you ample space for viewing multimedia content but sacrifices sharpness of detail.
The Cherry Mobile Alpha View uses the Qualcomm MSM8212 Snapdragon 200 chipset. This is composed of a 1.2GHz quad core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU and an Adreno 302 graphics processor.
There’s also 1GB of RAM to handle multitasking and making Windows 8.1 run smoother. All of these depend on a 2,600mAh battery to keep running.
We’re guessing that this will have a pair of 13MP and 5MP cameras for the rear and front respectively. However, the official information regarding its cameras is yet to be revealed.
The Cherry Mobile Alpha View features dual SIM functionality with 3G HSPA+ connectivity. Wi-Fi, tethering, Bluetooth, GPS and FM Radio are all supported too.
It comes with 8GB of onboard storage plus a microSD card slot capable of adding up to 64GB of additional storage space.
Unlike the Alpha Neon, the Alpha View will only be available in black and white. It’s price is said to be less than ₱5,000.
