MyPhone has finally took off the wraps of the MyPhone Rio 2. It’s a 5-inch HD quad core smartphone with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS out of the box and a massive 2,800mAh battery.
However, MyPhone seems to be focused more on the quality for the Rio 2 instead of increasing the numbers on its specs sheet. It uses a slip and smudge free matte material for the back cover and even has on-screen buttons instead of the usual capacitive ones.
Each MyPhone Rio 2 package comes with a free GLOBE SIM card that provides the user with 100MB worth of free mobile internet each month for one year just like the company’s Android One device, the MyPhone Uno.
The rest of the specs include an 8MP camera with a Sony sensor and Blue Glass filter, 5MP front camera, 8GB of internal storage, 1GB of RAM, USB OTG support and 3G HSPA+ connectivity.

Just like the first Rio, the MyPhone Rio 2 comes in a variety of colors – two shades of blue, green, yellow, orange, red and the usual black and white.
Earlier reports said the MyPhone Rio 2 has a scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 3 screen but this turned out to be untrue. It does have a fully laminated glass front panel.
