The new Samsung Galaxy E series of smartphones feature a Super AMOLED display for a relatively affordable price. Let’s focus on the cheapest one – the Samsung Galaxy E5.
Aside from its 5-inch HD screen, Samsung also emphasizes the Galaxy E5’s 5MP front camera which will surely capture good selfies, uni-body design and metallic sides.
So, what does a Super AMOLED screen do? Well, it usually has more contrast and brightness than LCD displays. It also consumes less energy from the phone’s battery.
Running the show for the Samsung Galaxy E5 is a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 processor from Qualcomm with an Adreno 306 graphics renderer and an unusual 1.5GB of RAM.
It comes with 16GB of on-board storage and a microSD slot capable of reading up to 64GB memory cards.
At the back of the Samsung Galaxy E5 is its 8MP camera with an LED flash to the left and a circular speaker grille on the right.
It has a dual SIM version (marked by the Duos logo) and supports 3G HSPA+ networks for mobile internet connectivity.
There’s a 2,400mAh battery under the back cover. It’s available in white, brown and black and has an official suggested retail price of ₱12,990 in the country.
