The original SKK Lynx seems to be a success that the company is introducing a Lite version of the handset with a bit lesser specs but coupled with a cheaper price tag – the SKK Lynx Lite!
It’s still a 5-inch handset but with a quad core processor underneath instead of an octa core one. It comes in several color options though which even the first Lynx didn’t have.
The SKK Lynx Lite’s 5-inch screen has a qHD resolution – that’s 540 x 960 Pixels or around 220 pixels per inch. It may not look as sharp as HD displays but it will prolong the battery life.
Its 1.3GHz quad core processor from MediaTek should run your apps and games just fine although it is surely less snappy than the octa core version. The 1GB RAM should also be enough for opening several apps in the background.
Perhaps the most worrying disadvantage of the SKK Lynx Lite is its camera. The front camera is fine at 2MP but the rear one is merely a 5MP snapper.
The SKK Lynx Lite is available in white, black, yellow, pink, white and green. |
The SKK Lynx Lite is a dual SIM phone with support for 3G HSPA+ networks so you should be able to enjoy the telcos’ free internet promos. There’s also Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
It comes with 8GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that accepts up to 64GB memory cards. It’s not yet clear if it also supports USB OTG though. A 2,000mAh battery powers the device.
SKK Mobile says the Lynx Lite is coming soon but that might take a few weeks before becoming available at your local SKK Mobile outlet.
