It’s no secret that battery capacity is one of the weakest points of current smartphones. Chinese company Innos aims to solve that by fitting two batteries on the new Innos D6000 smartphone.
There’s an embedded 2,480mAh battery and another 3,520mAh battery which is user replaceable. That brings the total battery capacity to a whopping 6,000mAh!
The Innos D6000 handles the two batteries using what it calls as “DuoCharge Technology” which regulates the flow of electric current. This allows the user to remove the second battery without turning the phone off since the first battery is still powering the device.
While this particular smartphone might not make it here in the Philippines, its existence means that the technology is possible and other Chinese OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) might follow suit. Most of the local brands in the country are getting their devices from these companies.

Meanwhile, the Innos D6000 also has a good set of specs including a 5.2-inch full HD screen with scratch resistant Gorilla Glass 3, octa core Snapdragon 615 processor, 3GB of RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop as the OS.
There’s also has a 16MP camera at the back, 5MP front snapper, 4G LTE connectivity, 32GB of on-board storage and a USB 3.1 Type-C port.
Its official price is ¥1,799 in China which is just a little under ₱13,000 based on current rates! A cheaper version is also in the works which uses a MediaTek processor but with only 2GB RAM for a little over ₱7,100.
