The success of startups such as Xiaomi in selling ‘bang for the buck’ smartphones solely via online shops has prompted Lenovo to try the same technique using the Lenovo A7000.
It’s an octa core smartphone with a 5.5-inch screen, 2GB RAM, 4G LTE connectivity and Dolby ATMOS surround sound technology for a price tag of ₱7,390.00 only!
The Lenovo A7000 is the first ever smartphone to use Dolby ATMOS technology. It was first used during the premier of the movie Brave in 2012 and results in sounds that seem to emanate from its exact location around you – even from above your head!
There should be no problem when it comes to the phone’s performance. The eight CPU cores capable of clocking at 1.5GHz together with the Mali-T760 graphics renderer, 2GB RAM and Android 5.0 Lollipop are more than enough to run the most resource intensive apps smoothly.
You need movies with Dolby ATMOS to enjoy its immersive effect. |
Contrary to Alcatel and its Flash Plus, Lenovo doesn’t emphasize the Lenovo A7000’s cameras that much. There’s an 8MP snapper at the back and a 5MP front camera.
The device has two SIM card slots and both can connect to 4G LTE networks one at a time. As usual, apps such as SHAREit, CLONEit and SYNCit are preloaded along with the Lenovo VIBE user interface.
It also comes with 8GB of on-board storage, microSD card slot for up to 32GB memory cards and USB OTG functionality.

If you’re worried about the Lenovo A7000’s battery life, the 2,900mAh capacity of the Lithium Polymer cell tucked inside the device should calm you down. It’s even user replaceable!
The Lenovo A7000 will be available in the Philippines exclusively via online shopping site Lazada starting on May 21, 2015.
