Prestigio Now in the Philippines Offering Android and Windows Phones via Lazada

Prestigio, a new smartphone and tablet brand headquartered in Cyprus, is testing its luck here in the Philippines. It’s a subsidiary of a company called ASBIS which is a multi-national distributor of IT products.

It offers Android phones such as the octa core Prestigio Multiphone 5508 Duo and a Windows phone called Multiphone 8500 through the online shopping site Lazada Philippines.

Interestingly, a certain smartphone from Prestigio, the Multiphone 5400, is the OEM device of the Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0. Hence, we know that this brand is capable of offering smartphones with good specs for a low price.

Its current offerings are a bit pricey though such as the Multiphone 5508 which sells for ₱13,099 with a 13MP camera, scratch resistant screen and octa core processor but plagued by merely 1GB of RAM and Android Kitkat OS.

The Windows Phone that I mentioned earlier is also available for ₱9,099 and offers the same Gorilla Glass screen as the 5508 but with a quad core processor, 8MP camera and 2MP selfie snapper.

Nevertheless, Pretigio has an upcoming smartphone called the Grace X7 which boasts a very slim 6.9mm body, octa core processor, 5.-inch Super AMOLED Gorilla Glass display and a pair of 13MP and 5MP cameras. It will sell for under ₱10,000.
