Remember the ill-famed Samsung Galaxy V of 2014? A Plus version of it has been launched in Malaysia with a dual core processor instead of the former’s single core chip.
Aside from that, there’s almost no difference between the two. It still has 4-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, 3MP main camera and get this, 512MB of RAM!
It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface while connectivity includes 3G in two SIM card slots and the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
However, there’s only 4GB of onboard storage with 1.9GB free for the user and a 1,500mAh battery to keep the phone running. It can read up to 64GB microSD cards though.
The Samsung Galaxy V Plus is available in black or white. |
The Samsung Galaxy V Plus costs around ₱3,700 when the Malaysian SRP is converted to Pesos. That’s an affordable price tag but its specs are just disappointing.
There’s no word yet on availability in the Philippines but its future here is uncertain.
