ASUS Philippines announced a new addition to its ZenFone lineup in the Philippines – the ASUS ZenFone Go which costs ₱5,995.00.
It’s a 5-inch HD smartphone with 2GB RAM and a quad core MediaTek MT6580 processor. The latter sets it apart from other ZenFone models that commonly run on an Intel Atom processor.
Aside from the different processor, the ASUS ZenFone Go has similar features with the cheapest ZenFone 2. It has an 8MP main camera and 2MP front camera with PixelMaster enhancements.
It doesn’t have the rear key design of the ZenFone 2 though. Instead, the volume and power buttons are placed on the right side while concentric circles embellish these and the phone’s chin.
Built-in storage is only 8GB but 64GB microSD cards are supported. It only weighs 135 grams and measures 5.2 mm at its thinnest part.
There’s 100GB of free Google Drive storage while flip cases are available for purchase. |
The ASUS ZenFone Go can only connect to 3G and 2G networks, so no LTE. It’s a dual SIM smartphone but the second SIM slot is limited to 2G.
It comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop and a brand new ZenUI. Meanwhile, a 2,070mAh Lithium-ion battery is what powers the device.
ASUS Philippines says it should be available in stores nationwide soon.
