A new smartphone from Xiaomi was spotted on Amazon India before the page was immediately taken down – the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime.
It is similar to the previously launched Redmi 2 Enhanced and has twice the RAM and internal storage of the Redmi 2. The rest of its features remain the same.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime has a 4.7-inch HD screen, 2MP front camera and 8MP rear camera capable of recording 1080p videos.
It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB of RAM and the company’s MIUI version of Android 4.4.4 Kitkat. There’s also 16GB of built-in storage and a microSD slot.

LTE connectivity is supported as well as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and USB OTG. A 2,200mAh battery powers the device.
Pricing has not been revealed but the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Enhanced Edition retails for a little more than ₱8,000.00 in Singapore.
The Chinese company is set to unveil MIUI 7 and new devices on April 13.
