During its Special Event on September 9, 2015, Apple Inc. unveiled its biggest and most powerful tablet yet – the Apple iPad Pro.
It has a 12.9-inch display that supports stylus input and boasts “desktop class performance”, “console class GPU” and a focus on productivity. It even has a physical Keyboard case and side-by-side app mode for multi-tasking!
The Apple iPad Pro’s 12.9-inch display packs a resolution of 2048 x 2738 pixels or 264 ppi while the stylus is called Apple Pencil and can sense pressure, tilt and stroke.
It runs on a new A9X chipset with 64-bit CPUs but the specific speed, amount of RAM and GPU have not been revealed. The company claims that it’s faster than 90% of all portable PCs released in 2015 though.
Demos of the device running AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and 3D Medical have been shown.
