Infinix Mobile, a Hongkong based company, is joining the Philippine smartphone market. They’re the ones who brought Google’s Android One program to Africa.
Its first offering here in the Philippines is the Hot Note phablet. It offers a large 5.5-inch HD display paired with a similarly large 4000mAh battery.
The Infinix Mobile Hot Note is housed in an 8.9mm body with a brushed-metal finish on the back. Unlike the company’s Android One smartphone, this one uses physical capacitive buttons.
A 1.4GHz octa core processor from MediaTek drives the phone together with 2GB of RAM and Android 5.1 Lollipop as the out of the box OS.
These specs should make it run smoothly enough for hardcore games and multi-tasking.
The company says the Hot Note can last up to two days on a single charge! |
General photography is handled by an 8 Megapixel camera at the back while a 2 Megapixel front snapper takes care of selfies.
The phone supports fast charging and can reach the full capacity of its 4k mAh battery in under an hour. It can even be used as a power bank for other devices via USB OTG connection.
Its official price has not been revealed though. We’ll update this article once the SRP becomes available. It’s estimated to be around ₱6,000.00.
