Cherry Mobile has a new selfie-centric smartphone aptly called the Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie with a whopping 16 Megapixel front camera with an LED flash.
Unlike the company’s first Selfie smartphone, this one doesn’t have an ugly design or huge camera module. Instead, it has a metallic frame on the sides and even a finger print sensor at the back!
Aside from the Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie’s 16 Megapixel front camera, it also has another 16 Megapixel camera at the back complete with autofocus, Backside Illuminated (BSI) sensor and of course, an LED flash.
It’s not just strong on photography either, under the hood is MediaTek’s 64-bit octa core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. Out of the box, the operating system is already Android 5.1 Lollipop with the company’s custom Cherry Launcher.
One very nitpicky disadvantage of the Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie is its mere HD display while the cheaper MyPhone My36 flaunts a full HD panel.
Nevertheless, this just helps with prolonging the Flare Selfie’s battery life. It doesn’t hurt too that it comes with a 3,000mAh battery.

Connectivity includes 4G LTE and the usual Wi-Fi, 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and FM Radio.
It comes with 16GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot for up to 64GB memory cards and support for USB OTG for additional storage space.
The official price of the Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie is ₱7,999.00 and it will become available on January 2016.
