Samsung will skip ‘6’ in its Note series and jump straight to Galaxy Note7 with the launch date set on August 2, 2016.
The company wants its Note series to catch up in numbering with its flagship Galaxy S series. The latest of which are the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. This will then avoid confusion with people who might think that the Galaxy Note6 is last year’s model.

Once again, the Samsung Galaxy Note7 is poised to be the most powerful smartphone running on Android. It’s rumored to come with 6GB of RAM and the latest processors from either Qualcomm or their own Exynos chips.
It will surely have a large display with enhanced support for S Pen stylus input. This has been the defining feature of the Note series.
There are also leaks suggesting a water resistant body, 12MP main camera, 5MP front camera, 4000mAh battery and dual-edge curved display.
The launch event will happen simultaneously in New York, London and Rio de Janeiro. Filipino fans can watch the livestream on August 2 at 11 pm.
