Despite rumors that Microsoft will stop producing Nokia phones this year, the company just introduced a new feature phone called Nokia 216.
It features a 2.4 inch display, front and rear cameras with LED flash, 2G EDGE connectivity, a 1020mAh battery that can last up to 24 days on standby and of course, dual SIM support.
Since Microsoft is reportedly going to focus on its Surface smartphone next year, the Nokia 216 might be their last one under the Nokia name and nothing else from Lumia.
It’s a good secondary phone though offering basic functions with some time-killing games and features. The selfie capability is intriguing until you realize it’s just a VGA camera.
Nevertheless, a Nokia feature phone is always welcome for consumers. Availability and price here in the Philippines is yet to be confirmed.
