New Nokia 3310 to Come with Series 30+ OS, Colored Screen and Swappable Casing

by Daniel Gubalane on Feb 25, 2017

The upcoming modern version of the Nokia 3310 is reportedly going to have a colored screen, Nokia Series 30+ operating system and a swappable casing.

We’ve previously reported that HMD Global will unveil a modern version of the Nokia 3310 during the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona on February 26. Additional reports by @evleaks points to a larger and more colorful display than the monochrome screen of the original Nokia 3310.

It will also run on the Nokia Series 30+ operating system that most modern Nokia feature phones use. Hence, it has built-in apps such as Opera Mini and Facebook.

Lastly, its casing is said to be swappable. This is for both the front and back plates. You may remember that this was a common thing in the early 2000s.

The event is scheduled on February 26, 2017 at 11:00 PM Philippine Standard Time.
