A more feature-packed version of the Zenfone 4 Selfie was also launched by the Taiwanese smartphone brand – the ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie PRO.
It justifies the Pro moniker with a better dual selfie camera system, more processing power and an AMOLED display instead of the usual IPS LCD panel.
The dual selfie camera system of the ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro is composed of a 12.0 Megapixel Sony IMX362 primary image sensor and a 5.0 Megapixel secondary sensor from OmniVision.
ASUS used a technique it calls DuoPixel to force the primary sensor to output 24.0 Megapixel pictures without a drop in quality. It also has a wide f/1.8 aperture and 1.4 micrometer pixels size that greatly improve low light shots.
Meanwhile, the user can instantly switch to the secondary image sensor for a wider photo. It also assists in creating the blurred background effect in Portrait Mode.
Aside from its dual selfie camera, the ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro also boasts a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display, 16.0 Megapixel rear camera with 4k video and the ASUS ZenUI software on top of Android Nougat.
It runs on the octa core Snapdragon 625 processor from Qualcomm with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. A 3000mAh embedded battery keeps the lights on.
The device is a dual SIM smartphone with 4G LTE connectivity. It also has a fingerprint sensor and Hi-Fi audio via DTS.
The ASUS Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro has a reported price of ₱18,995.00 in the Philippines. This will be verified during the upcoming local launch of the device here in the country.
There are three color options to choose from – phantom black, sun gold and love red.
