During its event at IFA 2017, Samsung launched its new wearable products including the Samsung Gear IconX 2018 wireless earbuds.
It now has better battery life of up to 5 hours of music streaming via Bluetooth compared to the measly 1.5 hours of the first generation Gear IconX. Of course, it also supports Bixby for handsfree voice controls.
Aside from a longer battery life, the Samsung Gear IconX 2018 also features better ergonomics. It’s lighter and more comfortable to wear. Its design has also been slightly modified to prevent falling off.
Since it has 4GB of built-in storage, it can play music on its own for even more longevity of up to 7 hours! If the user isn’t comfortable with Bixby, taps and swipes can be used for playback control.
There’s a built-in running coach app that provides exercise status updates. Its charging case also re-charge the earbuds on the go.
No official price nor release date have been announced yet for the Samsung Gear IconX 2018. The first generation version has an official price of ₱8,000.00 in the Philippines.
It will be available in three colors – black, gray and pink.
