Chinese smartphone brand Doogee recently made a splash here in the country by introducing the Doogee Mix smartphone with a near bezel-less display.
Now, the company officially launches the successor to the former – the Doogee Mix 2! It still has slim bezels but with an 18:9 aspect ratio and dual cameras for both the front and back.
Display
Unlike the first Doogee Mix, the successor opts for a taller display that’s easier to hold with one hand. However, the top bezel of the device isn’t as slim as the former.
As a result, the front cameras are now placed on top instead of at the bottom of the front panel. Software buttons are used for navigation while the fingerprint sensor is moved to the back.
Cameras and Face Recognition
At the back of the Doogee Mix 2, there’s a pair of 16.0 Megapixel and 13.0 Megapixel image sensors. This can record up to 4k video and supposedly produce bokeh effects.
On the front panel, there’s a pair of identical 8.0 Megapixel cameras. Just like the newly announced iPhones, face recognition can also unlock the device.
More Features
The Doogee Mix 2 still uses the MediaTek Helio P25 chipset with 6GB of RAM. Its 5.99-inch display has full HD resolution and 2.5D arc glass.
Powering the device is a 4060mAh battery with fast charging via a USB Type-C port.
It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat.
