To answer the need for cheaper smart speakers, Google launched the Google Home Mini along with the new Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones.
It works like the bigger Google Home but at a size ‘smaller than a donut’. But best of all is the $49 price tag. That’s just around ₱2,500.00 but sadly, it won’t be officially available here in the Philippines.
The Google Home Mini is powered by the Google Assistant. It needs to connect to a Wi-Fi networks to work and a chromecast enabled speaker for a better sound quality when playing music.
Nevertheless, it’s enough on itself for getting reminders, asking for news, setting alarms and other functions.
If you prefer a louder audio, there’s also the Google Home Max.
