Ugly design is what we usually get in exchange for long battery life in smartphones. That’s not the case with the new Huawei Y7 Prime.
Its rounded corners, metal back and 2.5D glass make a slick device that can last for more than 2 days! Performance is decent too with enough power to run heavy games and support multi-tasking.
The Huawei Y7 Prime comes in a light blue box typical of the company’s Y series. Accessories include the usual USB cord, earphones, SIM ejector pin and a wall charger with 5V/2A output. The last one means faster than usual charging time.
It also comes with a free clear phone case and a screen protector that has been pre-installed in the device itself. Hence, you’re all set to use the phone without worrying about protection after taking it out of the box.
Just like most Huawei smartphones, the Huawei Y7 Prime uses on-screen buttons and stamps the company’s name below its display. Above it are the earpiece, sensors and front camera.
The 5.5 inch HD display is large but it’s not as bright as the Huawei GR3 2017. Nevertheless, texts are still readable under direct sunlight and the lower brightness will likely further save power.
Its bezels are a bit above average and the sides are lined with a plastic material. The loudspeaker and microUSB port are at the bottom, volume and power buttons on the right side, audio jack and microphone on top and SIM card tray at the left side.
The back is metal with the rear camera and a fingerprint sensor lined at the center. This makes it one of the best looking smartphones with a long battery life in the Philippines.
My full review of the Huawei Y7 Prime is coming soon. It will have an in-depth look of its features specially that battery.
