If the OPPO F5 is just a little bit over your budget, the OPPO F5 Youth might be the perfect alternative.
The two smartphones are basically identical in design and dimensions. The differences are found in the camera resolution, amount of RAM and official price.
The OPPO F5 Youth has a 6 inch display with LTPS LCD technology, full HD+ resolution, 18:9 aspect ratio, rounded corners and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection.
It uses the MediaTek Helio P23 chipset with up to 2.5GHz octa core CPU and Mali G71 graphics processor. As usual, it runs on the company’s ColorOS platform on top of Android Nougat.
There’s a fingerprint sensor at the back and a 3200mAh battery underneath.
Compared to 16 Megapixel main camera of the regular OPPO F5, the Youth variant comes with a lower resolution but still capable 13 Megapixel main camera. It supports Phase Detection Autofocus and has an LED flash.
Meanwhile, the front camera is also a little bit lower at 16 Megapixels instead of 20 Megapixels. Nevertheless, it still offers an f/2.0 aperture and AI Beautification.
The last difference reason why the OPPO F5 Youth is more affordable is its RAM. Instead of 4GB, it only has 3GB. That’s still lot for the usual apps.
The OPPO F5 Youth has an official price of ₱13,990.00 in the Philippines. That’s ₱2,000.00 cheaper than the regular OPPO F5!
It’s now available in OPPO stores and authorized retailers nationwide as well as online.
