If you’ve broken one too many phones in your life, Starmobile’s new smartphone might just be your perfect match – the Starmobile Up Xtreme.
It’s equipped with a special screen that the company calls ‘XtremeScreen’. It’s resistant to scratches, direct pressure and impacts.
Starmobile claims that the screen of the Up Xtreme cannot be scratched by metallic objects such as coins and keys. It can also withstand a direct pressure of up to 30kg!
Perhaps the most impressive property of this XtremeScreen is its impact resistance. In a video upload by the company’s official YouTube account, the device was smacked into a solid object multiple times without any resulting dent or scratch.
However, they did not disclose the exact technology behind this screen.
The Starmobile Up Xtreme is an entry level smartphone. It has a 5-inch HD display, quad core processor and similar 8 Megapixel cameras for both the front and back.
It also has dual LED flash for the front camera so selfies at night shouldn’t be a problem. It’s limited to 3G networks though.
The device comes with a pre-installed Freenet app, free phone case, screen protector, earphones and a Smart SIM card.
The official price of the Starmobile Up Xtreme is ₱3,990.00. It’s now available in Starmobile stores, authorized retailers and in the company’s own online shop.
