In a big event in Paris, OPPO officially unveiled the OPPO Find X flagship smartphone.
It features a near bezel-less display with no notch, pop-up mechanism for both the front and rear cameras as well as flagship level specs including a Snapdragon 845 processor and up to 8GB of RAM.
Unlike the Vivo NEX which only has the front camera in its pop-up module, the OPPO Find X has its entire top part motorized to reveal both the front and rear cameras when needed.
The front camera is a 25 Megapixel snapper with A.I. beautification while there’s a dual camera system at the back. This is composed of a 16 Megapixel main rear camera and a 20 Megapixel secondary rear camera.
OPPO claims that the mechanism can last up to 5 years without the user having to worry about durability.
OPPO calls the edge-to-edge display of the OPPO Find X as ‘Panoramic Arc Screen’. The top and side bezels are nearly non-existent except for the metal sides while the bottom is just a little over 3mm – a necessary space for the screen’s controller.
The screen itself is a 6.4-inch OLED panel with 1080 x 2340 pixels or resolution. Its sides are curved while the corners are rounded.
Aside from the pop-up cameras and edge-to-edge display, the OPPO Find X also features flagship level specs. It runs on a Snapdragon 845 processor with Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.
There’s Face Recognition that uses an Infrared dot projector, not just the front camera. However, it lacks a fingerprint sensor.
A 3730mAh battery powers the device with support for 5V/4A fast charging.
The official price of the OPPO Find X is €999 for the 8GB RAM/256GB ROM version.
