After jumping to the tall display bandwagon with the Redmi 6 and 6A, Xiaomi decided to give the Redmi 6 Pro a notched display.
It’s a 5.45-inch screen with FHD+ resolution or 1080 x 2280 pixels as well as the mandatory rounded corners and curved edges. This results in a screen to body ratio that’s just a hair under 80%.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is equipped with a dual rear camera setup composed of a 12 Megapixel main sensor and a 5 Megapixel secondary sensor – both with f/2.2 aperture.
A.I. camera features are baked in the company’s MIUI 9 software. There’s enhancement for the rear cameras as well as the 5 Megapixel selfie camera on the front.
Redmi phones are known for their powerful processors for a considerably lower price than the competitor.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is no different. It’s powered by a 2.0GHz octa core Snapdragon 625 processor with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
There’s also a 4000mAh battery that supports 5V/2A charging.
The official price of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro starts at CNY 999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM variant. That’s just a little more than ₱8,000.00!
There’s no word on availability in the Philippines yet but the device is already available in the company’s homeland.
