Optiemus, Blackberry’s Indian manufacturing partner, launched two new smartphones today – the Blackberry Evolve and Blackberry Evolve X.
Both feature a tall display with no physical keyboard unlike the Blackberry Key2. There’s also dual rear cameras and a big 4000mAh battery on both smartphones.
The Blackberry Evolve has a 5.99-inch FHD+ display with Gorilla Glass 5 for scratch protection. It boots to Android 8.1 Oreo with Blackberry’s security features.
It’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. Meanwhile, photography is handled by a 13MP + 13MP dual rear cameras and a 16MP front camera.
The device also supports face unlock, 4G VoLTE, fingerprint unlock and wireless charging for its 4000mAh battery.
The Blackberry Evolve X has the better specs between the two new Blackberry smartphones. It runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with 6GB of RAM!
It still has the same 5.99-inch display though with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Its cameras are 12MP and 13MP at the back while a similar 16MP front camera takes care of selfies.
Lastly, it’s powered by the same 4000mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging.
The official price of the Blackberry Evolve is INR24,990 which is a little under ₱20,000.00. Meanwhile, the Blackberry Evolve X costs INR34,990 or around ₱27,000.00.
It will be sold exclusively on Amazon India. No word on availability and price in the Philippines yet.
