Several popular Filipina gamers including Ashley Gosiengfiao, Bea Benedicto, Caster Riku, and Suzzysaur played Arena of Valor or AOV with the Honor Play smartphone.
This was during an event called ‘Game with the Brave’ held at the SM Cyberzone of SM City Fairview. It served as the launching and debut of the gaming smartphone here in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Ashley Gosiengfiao also played with the Honor Play during a livestreamed event hosted by Lazada Philippines on Facebook.
She played the mobile version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG. During the drop off from the airplane, she noted the clarity and smoothness of the graphics.
“It’s perfect for gamers talaga, it’s very smooth,” she said.
The Honor Play disrupted the smartphone market in the Philippines by having a flagship level Kirin 970 chipset for a price of ₱15,990.00.
It’s also the first smartphone to come with the GPU Turbo software update out of the box. This means it should have better graphics quality compared to other smartphones with the same chip when playing compatible games.
As a testament to the popularity of the Honor Play smartphone, it sold out in both Lazada and Shopee online shops.
There are already several physical stores that sell Honor smartphones but these are mostly found in big cities.
