Motorola is rumored to be launching three new smartphones in China on August 15, 2018. These are the Moto P30, Moto P30 Play, and Moto P30 Note.

The naming scheme seems like a challenge to Huawei’s P20 series of smartphones. Motorola is now owned by Lenovo which also has its headquarters in Beijing.

Moto P30 and Moto Z3

Motorola previously scheduled the event for the launching of the Moto Z3 smartphone in China. It’s the first smartphone that can be upgraded to 5G thanks to a Moto Mod.

However, listings on the company’s official Chinese website revealed the P30 series. Both the Moto P30 and Moto P30 Note have as much as 6GB of RAM while the Moto P30 Play comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.

Are these enough to topple Huawei’s dominance in Lenovo’s home country? We’ll soon find out. We’ll post an update once the entire specs of these smartphones have been revealed.
