Realme 3 Pro Unboxing with Sample Pictures and Benchmark Scores

by Daniel Gubalane on May 17, 2019

The Realme 3 Pro promises a great gaming performance at a more affordable price compared to other mid-range smartphones.

Here are my unboxing experience and first impressions of the product. I also included a few sample pictures, screenshots, and benchmark scores.

What’s inside the Realme 3 Pro box?

Contents of the Realme 3 Pro box.

Just like the Realme 3, the Realme 3 Pro’s box is rocking a gray and yellow color combo with the phone’s name on the outside.

Upon opening the box, you’ll immediately see a smaller box with a greeting that says “Welcome to Realme Family”. Inside this are the SIM ejector pin, quick guide, and free transparent phone case.

Underneath that is the Realme 3 Pro smartphone itself. I got the carbon gray color variant. The other color options are nitro blue and lightning purple.

The Realme 3 Pro’s charger needs an adaptor to fit most electric sockets in the Philippines.

The last contents of the box are the charger and micro-USB cable. Yes, it still uses micro-USB when most smartphones from other brands are now using USB Type-C. On the positive side, this is a fast charger with the VOOC 3.0 technology from OPPO.

There are no free earphones inside the box so you’re lucky if you can get the Realme Buds included in the freebies.

A Closer Look at the Realme 3 Pro

Note the subtle lines at the back of the Realme 3 Pro.

Looking closely at the Realme 3 Pro, it has these lines at the back that produce a nice effect but the phone’s back still feels smooth.

Unlike the Realme 3, the phone’s frame is distinctive. We have the power button on the right side while the volume buttons and triple card tray are accessible on the left side. The loudspeaker, micro-USB port, and 3.5mm audio jack are at the bottom.

We have a 6.3-inch display on the front with full HD resolution, a waterdrop notch and narrow bezels on all four sides. A screen protector is already pre-applied on the screen.

Performance out of the box!

Hands-on with the Realme 3 Pro!

The Realme 3 Pro comes with ColorOS 6.0 which is a customized version of Android 9 Pie. It looks okay for me since it tends to be clean and neat though I’m not a fan of the design of the icons.

Thankfully, a software update was made available two days before it officially launched here in the Philippines. It changed the icon designs among other camera-centric updates and I like them now.

Performance is smooth out of the box with apps launching quickly and without any visible lags. There’s 104GB of free storage out of the 128GB total internal storage and just a few pre-installed apps including Facebook, Lazada and Opera.

I’ll be testing the phone’s gaming performance in a separate article. Meanwhile, here are its scores in some popular benchmarking apps:
