As many Filipinos re-discover the value of high-quality selfie cameras for social media and content creation, vivo Philippines launched the new vivo V21 Series composed of the vivo V21 5G and vivo V21e smartphones.
Both devices are equipped with a high resolution 44 Megapixel Autofocus selfie camera with Optical Image Stabilization or OIS for the 5G version. This means it can maintain focus on the subject’s face and counteract vibrations or hand shakiness resulting in smooth and stable selfie videos with a sharp focus all the time.
Aside from smooth selfie videos, the OIS feature on the 44MP selfie camera of the vivo V21 5G also makes low-light selfies look brighter, clearer, and sharper since there’s less shakiness.
The vivo V21 5G even has two soft LED selfie lights hidden at the edge of its top bezel for more lighting options in night-time photography and videography.
Both smartphones can also capture selfie videos at up to 4K resolution! This is perfect for vlogging and video conferencing which are the rave today.
At the back of vivo V21 Series smartphones are three cameras – a 64 Megapixel main camera, 8 Megapixel ultra-wide camera, and 2 Megapixel macro camera.
It has OIS for the 5G version and Electronic Image Stabilization or EIS for the 4G version. Both systems promise smooth videos and bright low-light shots.
There are also several Portrait mode styles that can add spice to portrait photography.
The vivo V21 Series smartphones have a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display that operates at a maximum of 90Hs screen refresh rate.
A MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset powers the vivo V21 5G while the vivo V21e is rocking a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G. These are paired with 8GB of RAM and 3GB of additional memory called Extended RAM.
Only the 5G version gets the new generation of cellular connectivity but both devices support dual-band Wi-Fi networks.
Both smartphones under the vivo V21 Series come with a 4,000mAh battery that supports 33W FlashCharge fast charging technology.
It runs on Funtouch OS version 11.1 out of the box which offers a minimalist approach to UI design. It’s still based on Android 11 but with several improvements for vivo users.
For security, the vivo V21 Series smartphones have an under-display fingerprint scanner in addition to the usual pattern, PIN, and Face Recognition.
The vivo V21 Series will be available for pre-order in vivo stores from June 1 to 4, 2021, with a release date and official availability on June 5, 2021.
The official price of the vivo V21e in the Philippines is ₱17,999.00 while the official price of the vivo V21 5G is ₱23,999.00.
