vivo Philippines officially launched the vivo X60 smartphone in the country on Friday, May 21, 2021. It’s co-engineered with German optics manufacturer ZEISS and promises a redefined mobile photography experience.
“We have collaborated with ZEISS to bring unparalleled sharpness, clarity, and image quality to vivo smartphones”, vivo Senior Vice President and CMO Spark Ni said. The collaboration combines best-in-class optical lenses, sensors, image processing algorithms, and feature-rich shooting modes.
The vivo X60 has triple rear cameras composed of a 48 Megapixel main camera, 13 Megapixel ultra-wide camera, and another 13 Megapixel tele-macro camera. It’s embellished with the ZEISS logo and ZEISS Vario-Tessar trademark similar to professional cameras.
Images produced by the device have a distinct ZEISS quality, especially in Portrait mode. It mimics the ZEISS Biotar lens effect with unique swirly harmonious background bokeh while the subject remains in sharp focus.
It also has Super Night Portrait, Starry Sky, and Extreme Night Vision 2.0 shooting modes for nighttime photography while its optical image stabilization or OIS feature results in smooth hand-held videos and sharp action shots.
A powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset powers the vivo X60 with a 3.2GHz octa-core CPU, a jaw-dropping 12GB of RAM, and the highly optimized Funtouch OS version 11.1 software.
This is paired to a 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and a 240Hz touch response rate. These specs make scrolling ultra-smooth and taps in games register faster than normal.
It also has 5G connectivity to take advantage of the faster mobile internet speeds in Smart and Globe’s 5G networks while being ready for DITO’s future 5G services.
The vivo X60 is a sleek and slender smartphone weighing 175 grams and measuring 7.36 millimeters only in thickness. Most smartphones are over 200 grams and 8 millimeters.
Both the front and back panels of the device have slightly curved edges adding to its sleek profile. The front camera is housed in a tiny “Ultra O” punch-hole while the dual-tone island of the rear cameras stands out against the gradient color scheme of the glass back.
It comes in two stunning color options – Midnight Black and Shimmer Blue.
The vivo X60 smartphone has an official price of ₱34,999.00 in the Philippines.
It will be available in vivo stores and kiosks nationwide starting on May 22, 2021. It will also be available on the official vivo stores at Lazada Philippines and Shopee Philippines.
