vivo Philippines is launching the vivo X70 smartphone in the country with the tagline “The Next Imagery Master”.
It’s equipped with powerful cameras co-engineered with German optics leader ZEISS. It’s a deeper collaboration than its predecessor which now includes ZEISS T* lens coating, improved gimbal stabilization, refined ZEISS portrait bokeh, and a new ZEISS-inspired cinematic mode.
The vivo X70 uses a customized 40 Megapixel main camera from Sony with a large pixel size and a wide f/1.89 aperture for gathering more light. It’s protected by a ZEISS T* lens coating which reduces stray light and ghosting when there are bright lights in the scene.
This is accompanied by a 12 Megapixel portrait camera which helps to create impressive bokeh in portrait shots. There’s also another 12 Megapixel ultrawide camera for highly detailed landscapes.
Lastly, the camera module is held by a Gimbal Stabilization 3.0 system that counteracts shaky hands to keep pictures looking sharp and reducing motion blur.
The vivo X70 comes with upgraded low-light photography with a feature called “Real-time Extreme Night Vision”.
When shooting a low-light subject, the phone will show a preview of what the actual picture will look like and the time it will take to complete the shot. This removes the guesswork and allows the user to better frame the picture.
The aforementioned lens coating is also helpful in nighttime photography where street lights usually cause stray lights. This is greatly reduced in the vivo X70 compared to other smartphones.
The vivo X70 has tools for content creation in the time of TikTok videos and YouTube vlogs.
Its VIS 5-axis Ultra Stable Video produces smooth handheld videos at 4K resolution. There’s also a dedicated Pro Cinematic mode which makes several controls available while recording videos.
For more unique content ideas, the vivo X70 includes up to 240fps slow motion in 1080p resolution, eye autofocus, party mode portraits, astrophotography mode, and Pro sports mode.
The vivo X70 has a proven design with a large 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED with a 120Hz screen refresh rate, under-display fingerprint scanner, and 5G connectivity.
It’s powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset with 12GB of RAM, Funtouch OS 12 software, and a 4400mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging technology.
There are two color choices for the device – Cosmic Black and Aurora Dawn.
The official price of the vivo X70 smartphone in the Philippines will be revealed on October 8, 2021.
